a) Energize: The word ‘Energize’ indicates energy without restricting only to conventional forms of electricity. The vision must be alive to energy transition.
b) Sustainable means finding energy supply and consumption methods that help ensure that current and future demands are met. To ensure energy security and liveable environment for the future, efforts must be afoot to reduce environmental effects by reducing carbon emissions. It involves conserving energy, reducing waste, and exploring the possibilities of increasing the use of renewable energy sources so that our fossil fuels may be utilized more efficiently to facilitate the transition.
c) Affordable: Energy is a basic necessity for lives. It has to be affordable to all citizens. Energy affordability is when consumers are able to pay for their electricity use, like lighting, heating, cooling, and powering appliances, while also being able to afford other basic living expenses, such as food and medication, without having to choose or feel overburdened financially. The way we use energy matters. Affordable power is required for industrial growth. It spurs employment and overall welfare. Looking out for the cheapest sources of power, the companies need to reduce losses of all forms to achieve and maintain affordability for energy consumption.
d) Delightful access: Delightful Energy access means that all consumers can obtain clean and uninterrupted power from affordable, reliable, and sustainable sources. Accessibility to energy for all consumers irrespective of geographical area, demography, type of uses, and type of consumers should be ensured. The quality of the power supply should be given attention to in terms of technical and temporal parameters. Consumer Satisfaction is critical to delightful access in all aspects related to energy.
e) Reliable: Consumers have the right to get reliable, 24x7 quality electricity with the least interruption. For this, suitable redundancy should be incorporated into the design of power systems. Reliability also indicates the quality aspects of power.
f) Resilience: Disaster Risk Reduction is critical to achieving the ability to be resilient in the supply of power. Life-cycle perspective for investment decisions becomes essential.
g) Efficiency: Energising of lives is sought to be done in the most efficient manner possible. This would entail improving efficiency of operations of the public sector utilities presently engaged in the sector and creating an environment that enables private sector participation in all aspects of energy with regulatory safeguards to guard genuine interest of consumers.
